Meliá Palma Bay-Palau de Congressos de Palma, Best Conference and Convention Hotel

The Meliá Palma Bay-Palau de Congresos in Palma (Mallorca) has been the winner in the Conference and Convention category of the 12th edition of the Roca Awards to the Hotel Initiative, organized by the magazine Gran Hotel Turismo. The awards, which celebrate their 25th anniversary this year, were presented at the Roca Madrid Gallery on the 7th June.

The other three finalists were: Sallés Hotel Pere IV in Barcelona, Santos Maydrit in Madrid and Sevilla Center in Seville.

With a surface area of over 56,000 square metres in the heart of Palma’s Paseo Maritimo, the Meliá Palma Bay-Palau de Congresos de Palma complex, designed by the architect Patxi Mangado based on energy efficiency, allows simultaneous events to be held thanks to its two auditoriums (with capacity for 1,966 and 462 people), an exhibition area, various meeting rooms and a 600 m2 terrace. One of its highlights is its annex hotel, the Meliá Palma Bay, which is connected by means of a covered walkway. The hotel has 268 rooms, rooftop pool, spa and a restaurant open to the public.

The Roca Awards to the Hotel Initiative are sponsored by Roca in collaboration with Alvic Contract Experience, Central Hisúmer, Extrem Puro Extremadura, Orac Decor, Rational, Tattoo Contract, Vandemoortele, Vermut El Ingenioso and Viajes El Corte Inglés.
