Seaside Holiday Hotel, a very significant category of the Roca Awards to the Hotel Initiative
One of the highlights of the Spanish tourism industry is the excellent offer of holiday hotels. For this reason, a category that could not be forgotten at the 12th edition of the Roca Awards to Hotel Initiative is Best Seaside Holiday Hotel.
In nine of the eleven previous editions, this award went to a hotel located in the Canary Islands, while in two editions the award was presented to a hotel in Malaga. Once it was won by a hotel in Cadiz and once by a hotel in Mallorca. Therefore, in 1993 the winner was the Hotel Jardín Tropical in Tenerife; in 1995 the Hotel Bahía del Duque in Tenerife; in 1997 the Hotel Los Jameos Playa in Lanzarote; in 1999 the Kempinski Resort Hotel in Málaga; in 2001 the Costa Meloneras in Gran Canaria; in 2003 the Princesa Yaiza in Lanzarote; in 2006 the Blau Porto Petro in Mallorca; in 2008 the Elba Estepona in Málaga, in 2011 the Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahía Real in Fuerteventura, in 2014 the Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora and in 2016 the Barceló Sancti Petri Spa Resort in Chiclana (Cádiz) –see image–.
Any hotel whose main goal is to provide guests with a good holiday atmosphere by the sea can submit its application to the category Best Seaside Holiday Hotel. The location, surroundings, cuisine, facilities, leisure offer, etc will be valued.

These awards, organised by the Gran Hotel Turismo magazine, celebrate their 25th anniversary this year and will be presented at the Roca Madrid Gallery on the 7th June.
